Bunge Publishes 2019 Global Sustainability Report

Bunge published its annual Global Sustainability Report 2019 Edition, describing environmental, social and governance-related progress and activities for the 2018 reporting cycle.

"Our latest sustainability report continues Bunge's commitments to transparency, progress on environmental goals, and active engagement with our stakeholders," said Rob Coviello, Senior Vice President of Sustainability and Government Affairs. "Our sustainability ethos - Act, Conserve, and Engage, which represents our approach to all sustainability-related policies and activities - is embedded throughout the content of our report."

Like last year, the content of this year'sreport takes the form of the company's sustainability web pages on bunge.com/sustainability, and comply with Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), meeting the ‘Core' standards, a status that indicates a greater level of disclosure for key ESG metrics than the minimum required.

In addition to public sustainability reports, the company participates in and is assessed through other leading disclosure platforms valued by customers and by the investor market. Additionally, regular progress reports on Bunge's non-deforestation commitment for its Grains &Oilseeds as well as Palm Oil value chains help bring greater transparency.

A major milestone featured in this year's report is the company's disclosure of its supply chain greenhouse gas emissions. By assessing and disclosing emissions from Bunge's supply chain, the company can begin to identify solutions that improve overall environmental performance and create a more sustainable value chain.

The report also includes the company's ongoing progress meeting environmental goals related to reductions in emissions, waste, water and energy use, and projects and policies that enable the best exercise of corporate governance related to sustainability. It also details activities and programs that support workplace safety, diversity, partnerships,volunteerism, and engagement platformsto advance shared sustainability objectives.
