Meeting lecithin demand in beverages, bakery, snacks and more

St. Louis, MO – August 6, 2024 - Bunge is expanding its North American lecithin portfolio to include deoiled soybean lecithin, which complements the company’s leading global crude, standard, and specialty lecithins from soybean, sunflower, and rapeseed.
With efficiency being an ever-present need among our customers, offering this benefit through lecithin is fundamental. Our deoiled lecithin from soybeans will do just that—especially across beverages, bakery, snacks, supplements, and petfood—where efficient mixing is key.

Value-added product portfolio

Our new range of deoiled soybean lecithin will include both powdered and granulated formats. They will deliver on customer expectations for clean taste and light color. Production will be from soybeans grown by farmers we know local to our Bellevue, Ohio facility.

To bring our customers the maximum value possible our deoiled soybean lecithin offering stems from a fully integrated supply chain coupled with enhanced quality, worldclass operational and application expertise, and regenerative agriculture opportunities to support sustainability needs.

Product availability

Bunge’s deoiled lecithin portfolio will be available late in 2025. Construction will be adjacent to and integrated with Bunge’s soybean processing plant in Bellevue, Ohio with commissioning in the second half of 2025. Find more information in this leaflet.
