David Mattiske

David Mattiske was appointed Co-Chief Operating officer in July 2025 following Bunge’s merger with Viterra where he most recently served as Chief Executive Officer. Together with Julio Garros, he oversees commercial activities, including global commodity value chains, country and regional management teams, sustainability efforts, renewable fuels initiatives, regenerative agriculture solutions and industrial operations & safety.

Mr. Mattiske has nearly 25 years of experience in the agribusiness industry, beginning his career at ABB Grain Ltd. He joined Glencore in 2006 as Chief Financial Officer for the Agriculture department in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). In 2010, he became Managing Director for the ANZ region, and in 2014 moved to the head office in the Netherlands as Regional Director for EU/CIS, Asia, Middle East, Africa and ANZ. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Glencore Agriculture in 2019, which was later renamed Viterra.

He began his professional life at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Flinders University in Adelaide and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia.
