Bunge supports social programs and municipal services, sponsors educational programs, trains youth, funds sports and recreational activities, and promotes health and wellness.
In Ukraine, Bunge helps maintain a local orphanage and nursing home, supports various social and municipal programs, funds health care for the needy and provides food assistance for the disabled. In Poland, Bunge provides funding and donates food to local community groups. In Russia, we support local philanthropic efforts, including a program that benefits orphaned children in the town of Boguchary, located in the Voronezh region.
In Germany, Bunge provides training to young people in career and life skills. The company also supports local institutions, such as the Osnabrück Zoo, meals on wheels, fire departments, schools and sports clubs.
Bunge is a leading supplier of bottled cooking oil, margarine and other vegetable oil products to consumers in Europe and supports efforts aimed at improving diet, nutrition and health. In Poland, Bunge donates proceeds from the sale of Benecol margarines to help fund the Siła Serca program ("The Power of Heart") administered by the Foundation for Cardiac Surgery Development to advance cardiac care. Bunge also supports Zadbaj o swoje serce ("Look after your heart"), a national campaign in Poland that provides information about heart health, offers free heart exams and health screenings, and provides dietary recommendations and consultation on preventing high blood pressure, obesity and other risk factors for heart disease.
