Asia
Corporate social responsibility is a growing focus at Bunge Asia. As Bunge continues to invest in the region, the company and its employees also are helping to build the communities of which our business is an integral part. Through our support of education, health services, local infrastructure and environmental projects, Bunge Asia is working to address the needs of people in the developing areas where it operates, including communities in China, India and Vietnam.

Bunge supports these communities through corporate funding and contributions and through the volunteer efforts of our employees. We support groups such as the Handicaps Welfare Association in Singapore, which serves the needs of people with disabilities, the School for Disabled Children (Troung Nuoi Day Tre Khiem Thi Huu Nghi) in Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Vietnam, which educates children with special needs, and Club Rainbow in Singapore, which supports children with serious illnesses and their families.
In China, Bunge's support for education includes Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE), an international nonprofit organization that works with 1,400 universities in 44 countries. SIFE gives university students an opportunity to demonstrate their talent, skill and entrepreneurial spirit while contributing to social and economic development in their local communities. Bunge participated in SIFE competitions in Shanghai and Tianjin in the 2009/2010 year and plans to strengthen its partnership with SIFE by mentoring students and supporting SIFE projects in the locations where Bunge operates in China.
