Bunge’s Food Products division is a global business with operations in North and South America, Europe and India.

The division is divided between two businesses: edible oils and milling.

The edible oils business produces specialty oils and fats, margarines, mayonnaise, shortenings and whipped toppings for sale in foodservice, food processor and retail markets.
The milling business processes wheat for food processors and bakery customers, and corn for cereal manufacturers, brewers, snack food producers and other customers.

Integration is very important to our food products business. By sourcing oilseeds and grains from our agribusiness unit, and by utilizing the same logistics systems, we improve efficiency.

Our edible oil manufacturing and distribution footprints in Brazil, North America and throughout Europe enable us to reach a large customer base in a given country. 


Through strategic acquisitions and organic growth, Bunge is building brands in key growth markets, such as Eastern Europe and India. Developing brands helps us to capture market share and ensure demand for our agribusiness products.

We also develop market opportunities by creating new and innovative products. Bunge’s Oil Center of Excellence in the United States leads our research into improved products, including low trans fat oils. We also operate R&D centers in the Americas, Europe and India that help create foods to satisfy changing tastes.
