The Middle East and North Africa are two of the fastest growing regions for grain imports in the world, and Sub-Saharan Africa presents unique opportunities for growth in agricultural production, exports and domestic consumption.

Bunge has long been a leading supplier of grains, edible oils and other products to the Middle East and North Africa. In 2011 we signed an agreement to form a joint venture in South Africa, which will be our first entry into Sub-Saharan Africa's grain and oilseed trade.

Egypt

Bunge has a distribution business in Egypt with offices located in Cairo and Port Said.

Morocco

Bunge Maroc Phosphore, a joint venture with Office Cherifien Des Phosphates (OCP),  produces fertilizer products in Morocco for shipment to Bunge companies in Brazil, Argentina and other markets in Latin America, excluding Mexico.

South Africa

Senwes

Bunge has formed a joint venture with Senwes Limited to develop grains and oilseeds operations in South Africa that will supply the domestic market and export products to other countries in Africa.

Turkey

Bunge Turkey

Bunge operates oilseed processing, refining and bottling plants in Turkey.  We provide protein meal for the livestock industry and edible oil for the retail market, foodservice companies and food processors.
